Tynes-Jones is a strong scoring guard who can score at all 3 levels. She has good size and gets good elevation on her jumper. She’s athletic and has no problem getting down hill. She has a good handle and is pretty good at creating for herself. She tends to prefer to go left which sometimes plays to her advantage as a right hander. Tynes is a little weak minded at this stage of her career. She doesn’t necessarily set the table much for her teammates. And the jury is still out on if she can initiate offense and run a team. Her footwork can be better off the dribble. When setting her man up or making a change of direction move her feet come together and that tends to make her not cover as much ground or beat people with her first step. Tynes-Jones is talented but has plateaued over the past year. She is trending towards being a low-mid major combo guard.
