Nelms is a skilled stretch 4 who loves to showcase her ability to shoot the ball. She can handle the ball and score in a variety of ways. She plays with poise, under control, and at her own pace. She’s got good hands and is very good in pick and pop. She moves well and can be utilized coming off flares. Nelms is extremely confident and sometimes becomes impatient on the offensive end. She takes quick shots and ill advised shots at times. Her conditioning and ability to guard in pick and roll must improve. I also question if she will match the energy and physicality of the junkyard dog type 4 players at the P5 level. Nelms doesn’t lack any skill or talent for that level but being a tad undersized means competing on the glass is a necessity.
