Morell had a great showing in the FIBA U16 AMERICAS averaging 14 pts and 11 rebs. She shot over 50% from 2’s and a blistering 59% from 3 (10/17 for championship) helping lead Argentina to the Bronze medal. Morell did struggle vs USA and Canada. Morell plays with great energy and does a great job defensive rebounding. She is an adequate rim protector and free throw shooter. She was very turnover prone averaging almost 5 to’s per game during the tournament. She needs to continue to get stronger physically and improve her footwork. She has a good skill set as a foundation but can continue to evolve from all 3 levels. She is agile enough to become a good face up 4 and if her ball handling improves she has the ability to be a very intriguing stretch 4. All levels must keep tabs of Morell over the next year to see how she progresses. Mid Major + prospect.
