Mesuch is a highly skilled scoring guard that plays with poise and pace. She has deep range that makes you have to pick her up past the three-point line. She can play on and off the ball and is good at coming off screens. She has a good handle and good body movement to freeze defenders. Her feel, instincts and confidence make her a tough cover. Mesuch needs to continue to learn the art of running a team and being a pure point. At her size she isn’t explosive enough to be a SG. Defensively she will be challenged physically. She must become a sophisticated pick and roll player especially when being guarded by bigger more athletic defenders. She tends to drive into trouble at times and over penetrate instead of shooting the pull up or getting to her floater. She can make some acrobatic finishes but will have a rude awakening when going against early help defenders and rim protectors. Mesuch is on the radar of many mid majors on the east coast.
