Jaekel is a tough, gritty defensive guard who plays with good poise. She has good size and is a fluid athlete. Her ability to guard and move her feet laterally is probably her strongest asset at this moment. She’s got long arms and uses her wiry frame to disrupt defensively. She has a good handle and can get in the lane. Jaekel needs to continue to groove out her stroke. She isn’t a gifted scorer but she has to be accounted for. If her jumper becomes more consistent and she can be a little more vocal, Jaekel’s recruitment would take a huge leap forward. Right now she is flying under the radar and is a borderline D2/D1 kid with the potential to be more.
