Cavalcanti is a pure point guard who does a nice job of running her team. She initiates offense, controls the tempo, and hits the open man for the most part. Defensively she can spearhead your defense and be a pest. She has shown the ability to hit an open three and has nice back spin on the ball. Her consistency is still not what you would like to see at this current stage of her career. Her handle is good but not great. She can handle pressure and still get you into your offense. Outside of shooting sometimes Cavalcanti can improve with seeing the player a little earlier. A lot of her turnovers are due to seeing and then delivering the pass late. She struggles with physicality at times. Her left hand can become better from a dribbling and passing standpoint. Lastly, she needs to evolve as a pick & roll player. Right now, she's steady, but at her size she needs to be a sophisticated pick & roll player. Her intelligence and understanding of the position is her biggest strength. Projects to be a low to mid major point guard at this moment.
