Bethea is an athletic high energy point guard who impacts the game on both ends. She’s got long arms that disrupt defensively and good anticipation skills where she can turn defense into offense. She’s a good pick and roll defender. She fights through the screen and covers ground to get back in front. Offensively in the half court she can initiate offense. Bethea is a capable shooter. She’s at her best as a direct line driver. She thrives in the open floor where she can get down hill. Her offensive skill set is still behind her defensive prowess. She is just an average playmaker at this moment. The pull up is a question mark due to her inconsistent footwork. Her handle is adequate but she struggles to stop on a dime and change direction. She tends to “get stuck in mud”. Her frame is wiry and can get stronger. She has a lot of similarities to Miracle Shephard. I see Bethea as a mid to high major prospect in due time.
