Barnes is a long smooth left hander who is fluid with the ball in her hands. Like most lefties she is a little too reliant on getting to her strong hand. A three point shooter with deep range who has the ability to create her own off the dribble. She can also play off the ball and be effective as a floor spacer or coming off screens. Barnes needs to put more emphasis on the defensive end. She needs to play with more physicality on both ends. Sometimes she becomes a little too casual with the ball and tends to be turnover prone. The tools are all there for her to be a scorer at the next level, but at this moment she lacks consistency. In due time with coaching, maturity and development Barnes can become a very good guard who can be a late shot clock option for D1 programs.
